Tnextmail stands for Trivial NeXT mail, and is a front end to the system mailer that allows sending files as NeXT attachments from non-NeXT computers. See the man page for details. No mail reading is supported. To install, look at the Makefile and set CFLAGS correctly for your system. Be sure to include -DUSG on System V systems. Nothing is necessary for Berkeley systems. Next, edit config.h and select your desired font for outgoing mail, and the tar and mailer programs for your system. Type make to build. When you get tnextmail built, copy tnextmail and mailattach somewhere in your path. Install the man pages somewhere if you wish. The System V implementation is virtually untested. Tread carefully and expect to fix things. Chris Paris cap+@cmu.edu
