This is the README for ftpd.6.17.N.bs.tar.gz [Download] [Browse] [Up]
This is an enhanced FTP daemon ported to NeXT 2.1 by John Neil <neil@dehn.mth.pdx.edu> that supports per-directory messages, automatic compression/decompression and tar-format archiving/dearchiving. Logging with this version of FTP is also greatly improved. The binaries are precompiled for those without a compiler. John Neil is not the original author of ftpd; see the source for original author, copyright, and other legal information.
