21 August 1997 TjL <luomat+next@luomat.peak.org> fping -- UNIX utility to check whether a large number of hosts are up. Must be run as root or setuid root (chmod 4755 or chmod 4750) Source can be now found at ftp://networking.stanford.edu/pub/fping/ and will shortly move to ftp://ftp.stanford.edu/dept/networking/pub/fping/ Source code is also included with this package. Compiled under NS 3.3 quadfat. Minimal testing done, use at own risk.
