README

This directory contains a Lisp package for programatically generating
Scorefiles, as well as various example files and documentation for a
class taught by David A. Jaffe at CCRMA, Stanford. These class
materials may be freely used and distributed.

To use the Scorefile package, you must have built Lisp on your
machine. For further information, see the file Scorefile.doc.wn.

The file NoteListToScorefile.doc.wn describes some differences between the
classical software synthesis note list and the NeXT scorefile. It may be
of use to people coming from the classical software synthesis tradition. The file SynthPatchLibrary.wn gives the parameters of the Music Kit SynthPatches.

The file SynthPatchLibrary.wn describes the parameters of the SynthPatches.

The files class1.wn, class2.wn, etc. are hand-outs for the Stanford course.

Note that this Lisp package is only one of many ways to use the NeXT Music Kit.
For other examples, see /NextDeveloper/Examples/MusicKit/*.
