Archive Maintainer: This distribution should reside in /software/NeXT/binaries/plotting/GnuTerm_1.1a.README /software/NeXT/binaries/plotting/GnuTerm_1.1a.NI.tar.gz I notice that there are currently two older distributions in that directory, please remove them both. They are: /software/NeXT/binaries/plotting/GnuTerm_1.0.README /software/NeXT/binaries/plotting/GnuTerm_1.0.NI.tar.gz /software/NeXT/binaries/plotting/GnuTerm_1.1.README /software/NeXT/binaries/plotting/GnuTerm_1.1.NI.tar.gz About GnuTerm GnuTerm is an output terminal for gnuplot that offers several advantages (listed below) over the one in the standard gnuplot distribution. It is NOT a standalone plotting package. It is merely a front-end terminal for gnuplot. The GnuTerm 1.1 distribution contains source for the GnuTerm application and the modifications to the gnuplot source. It does not contain the entire source to the gnuplot distribution. The GnuTerm 1.1a distribution also contains compiled executables (Double FAT m68k and i386) for GnuTerm.app and gnuplot version 3.5.213. Feature List: Button Selection of "ACTIVE" window (the one addressed by command-line gnuplot instances). Choice of Landscape or Portrait printing as well as overall print scaling via the Page Layout panel. Customizable Titles for the GnuTerm output windows via the Windows->Title menu option. Flexible location of GnuTerm.app: ~/Apps, /LocalApps, or via the GNUTERMPATH environment variable. Multiple windows with menu access via the Windows menu. Improvements 1.1 -> 1.1a: Replaced the 3.5.B212 gnuplot compiled binary in the distribution with 3.5.B213. The 212 version had a bug that totally frazzled GnuTerm in certain situations. Improvements 1.0 -> 1.1: Many improvements "under the hood" should make system faster and more robust. Also fixed memory leak due to NS bug # 21973. Eliminated dumb "print preview" window. --- Robert Lutwak robert@amo.mit.edu MIT Atomic Resonance and Spectroscopy Laboratory ---> NeXTmail always welcome <---
