Sybperl is an extension to Perl which allows you to access Sybase databases directly from Perl scripts using standard OpenClient (aka DB-Library) calls. >From the CHANGES file: 1.006 Added contributed patches: &dbwritetext(), &dbsafestr() and a modified &dblogin(). Added &dbhasretstats() and &dbretstatus(), as well as some calls to DBlib macros such as DBCMD(), DBMORECMD(), etc. Received a patch to eg/space.pl from Wolfgang Richter. Code that was defined to compile if BROKER_DBCMD was defined has been removed. It was only a hack, making use of knowledge of the structure of the DBPROCESS data type. Added the possibility to return an associative array from &dbnextrow. Added support for new datatypes (SYBREAL, SYBDATETIME4).
