NewName One of the main design features of the NeXTStep Workspace
manager and NeXT defaults database is that you can't specify com-
mand line arguments to applications invoked via the dock  or  the
directory  browser.   This is especially important if you wish to
autostart more than one terminal emulator without them  appearing
in  the  same place, same font, The application adds command line
arguments to other applications by adding another layer to  their
invocation.   Any  command  line arguments it receives are passed
unaltered to the real application.  To find out which application
to  run  and the set of arguments to use, it checks the name that
it was invoked with and uses that as  the  application  name  for
finding  variables  in  the defaults database.  The variables are
used to construct the following command line to invoke  the  real
application:
