This is a module for Sam Streeper's BACKSPACE program. It was compiled
on a NeXTStation Color, NS2.2. This is a 'beta-release' at best, because
of a persistent problem with (I think) the DPS server or the Userpath.
Basically, the problem (as it manifests itself on my system) occurs only
in the 'screen-saver' mode. After drawing the first userpath, the module
hangs, and for some reason sets the autodim time to zero. One has to quit
Backspace (with cmd-q), invoke Preferences and reset the auto dimming time
to restore normal behavior. This doesn't always happen however! I have no
idea what causes it.
I've been sitting on this bug for three months now, and I just can't
figure out what the HECK is wrong. If any kind DPS expert would tell me
what I'm doing wrong, I'd be grateful.
To the best of my knowledge, this code has no other problems. I think this
type of 'spirograph' stuff is pretty cool, so if anyone can point me to other
source code, or if you have suggestions or bug-fixes, please mail to:
