README NWBench.app--4 October 1994 NWBench is NEXTSTEP benchmarking software developed by Simson Garfinkel for NeXTWORLD magazine. It provides a number of useful benchmarks for determining NEXTSTEP hardware performance, including: * dhrystones and MIPS (based on the BYTE Unix Benchmarks--Release 3) * DRAM to VRAM, VRAM to VRAM composites * Ethernet write performance * disk performance * How fast the computer can look for a predetermined set of words in Webster.app * How fast the computer can compile BusyBox.app This source is unsupported by Simson Garfinkel, the former employees of NeXTWORLD magazine, or IDG (former publishers of NeXTWORLD).
