Miscellaneous load servers Most sites will not use the LoadServer.c routine found in this directory. Remote hosts that support Sun's RPC do not need dedicated load servers. (NeXT systems have Sun's RPC.) If you find a need to use a dedicated server, you will need to modify the LoadServer.c routine and install it on the remote host. Of course, you can use LoadServer.c to monitor things other than the load average, such as the number of users on a remote system. If you change the UDPSERVERPORT variable in LoadServer.c, be sure to change NLoad's udpServerPort default. The NeXT client and the remote server must agree on the port.
