O'Browser
Whetstone Corp.
January 12, 1992

Summary
O'Browser is a simple tool for extracting interface, image and sound segments from applications.

To browse an application's segments, click Open..., then select an application from the Open panel. For applications that have app wrappers (.app), the executable is inside the .app directory.

Usage
· With O'Browser, you can browse the segments of a Mach-O file, view the segment sizes, and open or drag-n-drop the segment files.

· An icon well holds icons for a selected segments. Multiple segments can be selected. Below, the size in bytes is displayed.

· Segment files can be opened by double-clicking on the icon or by double-clicking the segment file names in the browser.

·€Segment files may also be copied out of the application by dragging the icon from the well into a Workspace folder or another application that accepts dropped icons.

Technical Information
· O'Browser provides a front end to the otool and segedit command line programs. It uses an awk script to parse the output from those programs and extract the executable's segments to a directory in /tmp. If otool, segedit and awk aren't located in their default directories, O'Browser won't work correctly.
