Defaults Emacs understands the following items in the defaults database. NXFixedPitchFont (default Ohlfs) NXFixedPitchFontSize (default 10) Columns (default 80) Rows (default 24) WinLocX (default 205) WinLocY (default 85) These values can be changed with dwrite. For example, to make Emacs use a 12-point font, give the command: dwrite Emacs NXFixedPitchFontSize 12 to the shell. See the man page on dwrite for more information on changing defaults. To set Emacs as the default editor (so that a file which has no extension, or one that has an extension that is not claimed by any other application, will start the editor when double-clicked upon): dwrite Workspace DefaultOpenApp Emacs
