Multibase Calculator
--------------------

New release replaces ftp://ftp.peak.org/next/apps/misc/MultibaseCalculator.NIHS.b.tar.gz

Multibase Calculator is a NEXTSTEP utility application that converts between decimal, unsigned decimal, hex, binary, and octal number representations, showing all 5 representations simultaneously and allowing number entry in any representation.

It also performs common binary operations (+, -, *, /, &, |, ^) and unary operations (+/-, invert, shift, arithmetic shift, rotate, architecture swap, toggle hibit). Word size is selectable between 8, 16, or 32 bits.

It is useful for everyday arithmetic, programming, and digital engineering. It is particularly useful when analyzing bitwise logic common in C and Unix programs.

Consult the on-line help for instructions.
