Uncompress is a simple graphical user interface wrapped around the Unix command "uncompress" and "compress". It takes the input text as arguments to uncompress (or compress of the compress box is ckecked) and executes it via 'system()'. A file must end in .Z in order to be uncompressed. After successful completion, the .Z suffix is dropped from the file name. Please note that there is a bug in which only the .Z is dropped from only the LAST file name argument.
