The following utilities do two things. One untars files the other uncompresses them. I made them easy and simple because I simply wanted to be able to do both of these without having to leave the browser for a terminal window. Once installed, you'll simply just have to double click a .tar or .Z file and the appropiate action will be taken. Note that the browser will most likely not update itself after the operation, because I don't know how to make it do so. If this bothers you, Command-u works wonders. I hope someone finds this useful, but considering the simplicity of it, it's freeware. Just make sure to keep my name on it if you distribute it or add features.
