PkgBuilder 96.01.21 - creates Installer packages from package description files. Package description files can be displayed and edited using PkgBuilder, but they could also be generated by substituting a simple script for the install command in conventional makefiles. PkgBuilder uses a shell script in its application folder to build a package from the description file, i.e., once the description exists, the package can easily be built from a makefile as well. The script runs synchronously and writes error messages to stderr. - makes putting the contents of a package together quite a drag. - supports most package variations with the exception of chunked packages DeleteWarning, FtpSite (remote packages), and UseUserMask.
