b: category

Publishing

c: what it does

Continuous previewing (in a separate window maintained by the TeXview
application) during editing of small portions of a TeX document.
Easy insertion of TeX symbol names via a set of Symbol panels, which
may be augmented and customized without recompiling just by using IB.

d: what it's used for

I wrote it to use in formatting my thesis. I also use it if I want
to type up a quick note containing a little math, particularly if its
notation includes characters that aren't in the postscript fonts
(such as the double turnstile signifying the logical models relation).

e: which NeXT release:

2.x

f: detailed installation instructions

None.

g: any other comments

You can remove the source files from the app wrapper, but as the
regex routines are covered under the Gnu General Public License, I
think that would obligate you to provide the sources later if you distribute the program.

These are the contents of the former NiCE NeXT User Group NeXTSTEP/OpenStep software archive, currently hosted by Netfuture.ch.
