Welcome to WebWriter from Arcane Systems Ltd. What is WebWriter v0.7 WebWriter is a HTML Tag editor for the NeXT. It can be used to create HTML documents for the World Wide Web (WWW). Everyone is saying "But we shouldn't have to learn HTML to write our pages. We should be able to convert them!" Sure you could do this, but if you only want to create a few home pages, learning HTML and using it is both educational and fun. WebWriter is Freeware so use it and pass it around if you find it useful. WebWriter currently supports every HTML tag I know about, up to and including 3.0. It also supports most special Netscape enhancements (Netscape is a trademark of Netscape Communications). You can use WebWriter to create and edit HTML documents. It will currently allow you to create .html documents and can read documents of the type .txt, .html, htmld, htm and htmd. It can only open .htmld and .htmd documents if they contain an index.html enclosure. This current version contains some bug fixes and additions (from v0.6): - Addition of Base, Link, NextID, Meta and Frame tags. - Entity picker now displays actual entity instead of its description. - Entity picker now responds to double clicks. - Better management of elements with optional attributes. Attributes no longer show up if left blank. - Ability to tab between fields on inspector panels. - A font size preference. - Return of the font menu (for those who don't want the standard). - Fixed bug which causes app to crash if inspector browse/open panel cancelled out of. - The inspectors popup list title now gets set correctly if an inspector based tag is selected from main menu. What this version still doesn't do: - No emacs key binding - No undo function Any help on how to easily implement either of these would be greatly appreciated.
