This is the README for CharSwap.0.4.N.b.tar.gz [Download] [Browse] [Up]
README for CharSwap.app CharSwap is an simple app for, well, swapping chars and charsets. It can be used as an NeXT "Service" or as an standalone converter. It's nothing fancy, and you could do basically the same with sed/tr/etc scripts. But perhaps it can save some time every now and then. It knows about ISO (Latin1), PC and MacIntosh charsets. It's simple and we like it that way. If you find it usefull, please feel free to use it. INSTALLATION: Copy the CharSwap.app to an suitable location, ~/Apps or /LocalApps. Double-click it and quit (perhaps you need to logout first) so that CharSwap gets registered as an service. Help save the world: Please read the info and help panels. (This is freeware bla bla). Thanks to Audun for this nice "toolbox" app. Bergen 2. aug '93 Bjorn Asle Valde
