ImageConverter Copyright 1995, Varun Mitroo, MD ImageConverter is a NEXTSTEP program designed for converting 12 bit grayscale radiographic images into TIFF format. ImageConverter will convert any ACR/NEMA 2.0 or DICOM 3.0 image as well as any proprietary format that follows the 12 bits per pixel convention for radiographic images. ImageConverter was developed at The Ohio State University Department of Radiology as part of a complete NEXTSTEP-based networked radiology teaching system. This system was exhibited at the 1994 RSNA conference InfoRAD exhibit and received a Magna Cum Laude award. The other applications of this system will be made available shortly for anonymous ftp access, and will allow any radiology department to build its own computer based teaching file of interesting cases and share them with other institutions through the internet. ImageConverter is compiled under NEXTSTEP 3.3 as a multi-architecture binary for motorola 680x0, intel 486/Pentium, HP-PA RISC, and SPARC.
