ViewGif 3 -- the definitive NeXTSTEP-based GIF viewer

Tired of those faded GIF blues? Your worries are over...

ViewGif 3 is a NeXTSTEP-based GIF converter and previewing application.
ViewGif 3 is optimized for opening large numbers of GIFs from CD-ROMs
or other GIF collections and libraries. ViewGif 3 *requires* NeXTSTEP
3.0 or above on a m68k NeXTSTEP machine. Future releases for NeXTSTEP
for Intel Processors are planned (source is available now with
registration).

Features include:

Multi-threaded application emulation (i.e. the application is
responsive to user events during the decoding process for the images).

Gamma correction of images, which can yield a significant improvement
in the contrast and color saturation of converted GIFs displayed using
	NeXTSTEP.

Zooming of displayed images from 25% to 150%.

Opens multiple copies of the same GIF source file if desired.

Decoding process feedback and image queue.

Slide show capability, which can be used for animation sequences.

Saves converted GIFs as a TIFF file, using LZW compression, matching
the display depth of your NeXTSTEP system.

	NeXTSTEP 3.0 Help.

ViewGif 3 is shareware. A modest shareware fee of $5 US is requested. I think
you'll find that ViewGif 3 is the best GIF viewer available for NeXTSTEP. And
ViewGif 3 will not be standing still -- several new features are planned. See
the Future Features section in the Help panel.

So take a trial run of ViewGif 3, today. To install ViewGif 3, simply
download ViewGif3.0.1.compressed and double-click to Decompress. Then
copy or move ViewGif3.app into your Apps directory. An Update Viewers
request may also be needed to enable ViewGif3.app to open .gif or .GIF
files directly from your Workspace. Enjoy!
