Tracer v1.3 This program is ShareWare Please send $25 to Chris Osborn 2883 Redwood Rd. Napa, CA 94558 I wrote this because I don't have anything on the NeXT to do any form of auto tracing, and the programs I had used on other machines that did it, did a HORRID job of it. They generally just followed bitmaps pixel for pixel, and wouldn't smooth it out, and they would NEVER do any filling. That's fine for simple images, but I don't want to trace simple images. It would take months for me to fill it manually. Well, the filling works Ok, not as good as I'd like it, it fails occasionally on Line-Art, and always on grayscale images (But, why were you tracing grayscale anyway?). Also, images with alpha won't trace. There are, as always, lots of bugs that probably need to be fixed. Also, there is no STOP button after you've started tracing, you just have to suffer. New for 1.3: X Saving EPS files in an Adobe Illustrator compatible format, so they can be edited. X Supports filter services, to allow loading of other bitmap formats for tracing. Features I might add, if I get enought response (and enough people register): X A STOP button. X Fixing it to provide a service. Mostly so I can train these people not to save enormous bitmaps.
