Copyright 1995 by Michael C. Cam. All Rights Reserved. ImageConverter (v0.1b) ReadMe Description: ImageConverter converts from a variety of image formats to another image format. It allows you to select multiple files to convert using a browser type interface. It also allows you to set the output directory as well as the desired image type you wish to convert to. This program is not a viewer but viewing the result is easily achieved if you already have an image viewing application like OmniImage or ImageViewer. Installation: Copy ImageConverter.app into your own Apps directory if you are the only user of this program. Alternatively you can ask your System Administrator to copy it to LocalApps so that everyone can use it. Release 0.1 - 8 Mar 1995 - Notes: - user can convert image files to different formats - user selects files to convert using open panel, files listed in browser - user selects destination folder for converted images (likewise to above) - user can select converted image type (multiple selection/conversion allowed) - provisions for invert, depth type (monochrome, grayscale, color, 24 Bit RGB) - provisions for depth value (2, 4, 8, 12) - source and destination files can be opened from browser - no image preview (you need ImageViewer or OmniImage) - double FAT m68k and i386 Acknowledgements: - thanks to Lennart Lovstrand for writing the command line image and making it publicly available. - thanks to Don Yacktman et al. for the freely available MiscKit of which I used the MiscString extensively.
