Notes about Convert PICT 1.2: Convert PICT allows you to convert Macintosh image files in the PICT graphics format (either PICT I or II) to the eps format on the NeXT. It will not do the reverse conversion from eps to PICT. Convert PICT can also serve as a `client' of Convert RTF, so that PICT images embedded in Macintosh RTF files can be converted to display on the NeXT system. Convert PICT also provides several NEXTSTEP `Filter services' which can provide `automatic' PICT conversion in applications that can make use of NEXTSTEP filter services. Note that this application is distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License. See the online help for more information. Changes since 1.0: Five opcodes defined in Inside Macintosh VI that had been overlooked were added. Note that full support for the 16bit and 32bit bitmaps is not provided by Convert PICT. See Known bugs and problems ¬ . The speed that Convert PICT writes out bitmap images was improved noticeably. A strange change in Preview under NS3.1 prompted a strange modification of the routine to display lines of text in the PS code. Fixed a problem with displaying the first segment of a framed region. The application was recompiled as a `fat binary' so it can run on both black (Motorola) and Intel hardware.. This NEXTSTEP Help stuff was added.
