This is Columns Version 1.97b, a beta of the latest Columns. It features many improvements over the versions previously on the archives, including, but not limited to: NeXTSTEP 3.0 Help Network HighScores via Distributed Objects (grab the gamekit if you want to set up a server, lately there has been a server at fermat.dartmouth.edu but it may not be updated to the latest version for a while...) Sound and Music simultaneously New images and sounds Many bug fixes and tweaks/refinements Full use of my GameKit package Columns is shareware and requires a $10 registration fee. Those who send in the registration fee are entitled to a copy of the complete source code. Since Columns relies upon my GameKit, about 60-80% of the code it uses is in the GameKit, which may be found on ftp.byu.edu in pub/next. (You need both daymisckit and the gamekit as well as the CCRMA 3.1 music kit to do gamekit related stuff.) When the GameKit approaches stability, I will submit it to the regular NeXT archives.
