MiscKitÐIn Progress

This file contains a list of projects that are currently being worked upon and who is doing the work. If there is a specific feature you'd want to see implemented in conjunction with a particular project, get in touch with the contact and make the suggestion. The appearance of an item here does not guarantee that the item will ever be finished or ever appear in the MiscKit, but increases the likelihood of this happening! The purpose of this list is to help keep people from duplicating work that has already been, or is being, done. Many of these partially completed projects can be found in the Temp directory of this distribution, and, as they become useable, will migrate into the proper areas of the MiscKit distribution. Anything in the Temp directory should be considered untested and unreliable.

·	Mail message, news posting, NeXTMail message, and MIME mail message classes. (Don Yacktman)
·	Subclasses of MiscFile for things like directories, pipes, and so on. (R. Todd Thomas, todd@avocado.supernet.ab.ca)
·	MiscEmacsTextÐcombining features from various PD versions of the object including the one on the MiscShell palette and some of the stuff in the Temp area of the MiscKit. This is a lower priority, so may take a while to make it to kit-readiness... (Thomas Engel, tomi@shinto.nbg.sub.org)
·	Generalized document handling structure¼Mike Ferris (mike@lorax.com) There is an unpublished sub-mailing list for this topic. If it interests you, and you'd like to see the source we're working with and participate in coming up with a solution to the issues discussed, contact Don_Yacktman@byu.edu for more information. The traffic could be higher and more focused here than in the general MiscKit developer's list and NeXTMail is allowed, so be aware of this before signing up.
·	Merge MOKit with the MiscKit¼Mike Ferris (mike@lorax.com) with assistance from Don_Yacktman@byu.edu (or is it the other way around? :-) )
·	Many-but-at-least-one selection matrix¼ Don_Yacktman@byu.edu
·	Generic Preferences management system¼Don_Yacktman@byu.edu
·	Create a streamlined, ªbarebonesº String¼ Don_Yacktman@byu.edu
·	Document size palette¼ sanguish@digifix.com (Scott Anguish)
·	Enhance ClockView, probably adding alarms, docs¼ sanguish@digifix.com (Scott Anguish)
·	Formatted Text Field¼ David Apfelbaum (da0g+@andrew.cmu.edu)
·	ColorWells for the various Misc*Color objects, to go on MiscColorWells palette¼Don_Yacktman@byu.edu
·	MiscFTPConnection object¼ tuparev@EMBL-Heidelberg.de (Georg Tuparev)
·	MiscSelectionMatrix and other Matrix based fun stuff including MiscMatrix enhancements¼ tuparev@EMBL-Heidelberg.de (Georg Tuparev)
·	Extensions to the normal DO system that would allow us to work with special DO-URLs and connect to any object that is registrated with some known connection. Eg. your app has one entry point but PDO://localhost/AppDO/Preferences would always return the apps preferences manager since he registrated with his apps main connection... tomi@shinto.nbg.sub.org (Thomas Engel)
·	What are you working on? Let's get it listed in here. E-mail Don_Yacktman@byu.edu to get a listing.
