Welcome to dbmAdaptor Thank you for using dbmAdaptor, the freely distributable NEXTSTEP DBKit-compliant Adaptor and a "Flat-File" Database all in one. Since dbmAdaptor hides all the details concerning the data-storage it is not necessary to know anything about the UNIX DBM system itself, even though knowledge of DBKit programming is required. dbmAdaptor is distributed under a ShareWare Public License (see Obtaining a License, and Licence below), with the hopes that it will be useful, and become the lowest common denominator for DBKit systems. Note that dbmAdaptor is still to be considered Beta-software. Please beware of its Limitations before using it. Make sure you are familiar with DBKit programming in general before writing programs using dbmAdaptor, and to read the Compiling section before compiling your applications.
