IMPORTANT: This application requires NeXTSTEP Release 3.0 or above. What is QuickViewer ? QuickViewer is a small application that load and display standard images (images with formats that are supported natively on the NeXTSTEP). These formats are: Encapsulated PostScript (EPS), Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), RenderMan Interface Bytestream (RIB), and PostScript (PS). This program shows how easy one can put something on screen under NeXTSTEP, and the elegance of programming under the NeXTSTEP environment. QuickViewer is never meant to be a serious application, it is just a quick (30 minutes ?) utility I wrote to do the following things: 1. Have something to display various supported format image files on screen. 2. As a test of the 3.0 3DKit. 3. A tool to provide quick preview of EPS and RIB files when I am hacking around these files.
