This is the README for Methodist.1.05.NI.b.tar.gz [Download] [Browse] [Up]

These files should replace the original Methodist_FAT files
in the archive.

Methodist 1.05
(12/14/93)
Methodist now can parse RTF source files (not RTFD though),
and ignores lines that begin with more than one dash.

(12/9/93)
.m files can now be opened even if there are no methods.
The application does not become the active app unless the title
bar is clicked on. This avoids some unnecessary menu-switches.

Methodist.app

Methodist allows a quick oversight of the methods in a .m file and
lets a user simply select the method of interest. Edit.app will then
open the .m file to the desired method. A single Methodist window
will browse all of the .m files for a directory. Multiple windows can
be open at once.

Simply install Methodist into a directory that is in your path, and it
will be made available as the default application to handle .m files
if you set it as the default in the Tools/Inspector.../Tools control.
(E.g. /LocalLibrary, ~/Apps, etc. - the standard search path)
.m files can then be opened with a double click from the file browser.
Pick the method you want the file open to, and you're there.

More information is available in the online help.
