README File for CheckUUCP.app

CheckUUCP is submitted in two versions: Intel for the NS3.2/Intel platform and Motorola for the NS3.0/Cube.  The Intel version is 47072 bytes compressed, and the Motorola version is 46565 bytes compressed.

CheckUUCP is a UUCP utility for system administrators that replaces the Unix shell commands for monitoring, polling and logging UUCP activity.  It includes a Queue manager for job control.  The Help item under the Info submenu will present the user with a full overview of the app.

CheckUUCP automatically determines the UUCP sites accessible from the host CPU, and presents them in a browser.  The UUCP log for each site is available at the touch of a button, as is requesting a poll of the given site.  The system UUCP queue, including accurate transmission times, can be displayed as well.

While not required, CheckUUCP runs better when SUID'd to uucp.
