SUBMISSION: MIME Compliant RadicalNews 0.9.1

June 2, 1997 - Anaheim Hills, California.

Radical System Solutions, a long-time provider of object oriented expertise
to the professional market, is proud to release the latest free beta version
of RadicalNews. RadicalNews is an advanced object-oriented newsreader,
designed for the discriminating NEXTSTEP marketplace.

RadicalNews 0.9.1 provides MIME compliant USENET news reading and posting and in-line image displaying of both MIME images and "ordinary" UUENCODED images. Non-image binary data is displayed as an icon and launched on a double-click. To display images other than tiff, you will need to install an appropriate image filter such as OmniImage or ImageViewer.

New Features:

MIME SUPPORT:

- The following MIME types/subtypes are supported on reading:
	text/plain
	text/enriched
text/html (displayed as icon -- launched via double-click in
			your web browser)
image/<image-type> (displayed in-line if proper image filter is
				installed)
	application/<application-type>	(displayed as icon)
	audio/<audio-type>	(displayed as icon)
	video/<video-type>	(displayed as icon)
	multipart/mixed
	multipart/alternative

(message/rfc822 and message/partial will be supported in a
		future release)
- The following MIME types/subtypes are supported for posting:
text/plain	(with appropriate character set indication)
- The following MIME transfer encoding types are supported:
	base64
	quoted-printable
	x-uuencode
	7bit
	8bit
- The following MIME character sets are supported:
	us-ascii
	iso-8859-1
iso-2022-jp (requires RadicalNews-J for Japanese character display)

IMAGE DISPLAYING:

- UUENCODED or BASE64 images are now displayed in-line if the entire image is
    contained within one post.
- Drag and Drop Images -- Images can be dragged from the news display
directly, or launched into your favorite image application with a
	double-click.
- Images are automatically removed on Follow-ups, email forwards, or
email replies and replaced with "[***<Image Removed>***]".

PROBLEMS FIXED:

- Find panel now works properly with MIME and "ordinary" articles.
- Article headers are now decoded properly when archived.
- "Post and Reply" now encodes email into the character set indicated in
	the Post Viewer window.

KNOWN PROBLEMS:

- Printing news articles with embedded images does not print the image.
(Work-around: double-click on the image and print it from an image viewer).
- Text viewer does not scroll horizontally when image exceeds right text
	boundary
(Work-around: double-click on the image to launch it into an image
    	viewer).

RadicalNews is built quad-fat, running on Motorola, Intel, Sparc, and HP
platforms with NEXTSTEP 3.2 or later. (NEXTSTEP 3.0/3.1 will work, but are
