GatorGeo GatorGeo is a simple client program for the Geographic Name Server, Copyright 1989, 1990 Merit Inc. The Geographic Name Server runs on martini.eecs.umich.edu 3000. To query the geographic database, simply type the name of a city into the text field labeled City. Then either press return or click the button labeled Query. To narrow the search, you may also type the name of a state into the text field labeled State before clicking the query button. If a city is found, the pulldown list labeled States will be enabled. To display the information retrieved about the city, select a state from the pulldown list. If more than thirty-eight entries were found, the pulldown list labeled More States will also be enabled. The information will be automatically displayed in the text fields and scroll view once a state has been selected.
