M E T R O ±=[ Version 0.99 ]=± Metro embodies my idea of how a metronome ought to work. It is part minimalist drummer, part duration calculator, part beat timer, part dessert topping, and part floor wax. MeTRo is way too simple to require much in the way of instruction; you just spray it on ice cream (or the floor) and eat it (or buff it). · · · MeTRo is freeware to the extent that you are free to enjoy it (especially free of any and all warranties) for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment, and you are also free to send kudos my way. For any other use, you must get permission from me because this app is still mine¼ Mine, I tell you! ¼ MINE ALL MINE! ¼ There, I feel better already. 1995 by Peter Langston <psl@acm.org> · · · This distribution of MeTRo has been compiled Motorola/Intel FAT, but I have no idea if it actually works on those sickly white machines. It also includes some sound files and small tiffs. The distribution consists of this readme file (probably called "MeTRo0.README") and a gzipped tar file called "MeTRo0.99.tar.gz". · · · I hope Metro proves useful and fun for you. I'm not going to pretend that I tossed this off over a weekend; on the other hand, it's no bulletproof product either. Please let me know if you come across bright ideas I've overlooked, or dumb ones I should have. ± Peter Peter Langston · Seattle, WA · 5/95 <psl@acm.org> http://www.empire.net/~psl/
