Preferences The Preferences panel allows you to set the default path names for the programs used. These programs include lpc, stabilize, ptrack, merge, playpitchanal, and hz. Although the arguments given to these programs are hard coded in, their path specifications can be changed to allow LPCView to be used with different file systems. An entry is changed after Enter is typed in the field being changed, or when the window is closed. Changes take effect immediately. You can also change the default settings used when creating and editing the pitch analysis and lpc files. Once again, typing Enter in the field or closing the Preferences panel causes the changes to be saved. Documents already open when a change is made to the number of poles should be reopened to make sure the new value is used. All default values are stored in the defaults database, using calls to dwrite.
