LPC Plot

The LPC Plot window graphically displays the LPC data. The top bar graph shows the pitch data, while the bottom graph shows the amplitude data. The graphcs are scaled so that the largest value will fit in the given area. There may be a different scale factor for the pitch and amplitude displays. A scale along the bottom shows the frame number.

The display can be zoomed in and out with the buttons in the lower left corner of the LPC window. There are certain limitations built into the zoom due to postscript drawing problems. However, for moderately sized data files, you should be able to zoom in enough to see each frame distinctly.

The pitch and amplitude fields show the current values under the cursor. You may directly change the value of any frame or sequence of frames by typing new values directly into these fields. The current frame or range of frames is shown in the two fields below the amplitude field. The range of frames can be selected by typing new values directly into these fields.

You may set a new threshold value by typing the new level in the Threshold field. All frames that fall below the given threshold value are drawn in black. Those above the threshold are drawn in dark gray. The threshold value affects the entire file.

The multiply pitch and multiply amplitude fields scale the currently selected frames by the value typed into these fields. Enter must be pressed for the changes to take effect. The Add to error number field adds the specified value.

Interpolation of the current section is done by pressing the Interpolate Selection button. Only those frames with pitch values inside the range specified in the Bottom and Top pitch fields will be selected. Interpolation is based on the frames on either side of the first and last frame of the selection.
