The file structure of Peanuts ================================ The Peanuts archive has the following top-level directories. 00INFO informational files: description of Peanuts, file listings and copying policy (only FTP archive) 1,2 and 0 directories with symbolic links to all files in the archive not older than one week, two weeks or than the date the last volume of the PAD CD-ROM was published. (only FTP archive) CDROM Information about a CD-ROM set. Basic applications. All READMEs of the files. FAQs, Legal information and the NoSD project. (only CD-ROM set) Audio audio (samples) and music (music descriptions like score or midi files) applications and programs Commercial demo versions of commercial applications and programs. No shareware (splitted on CD-ROM set) Communication applications and programs for serial/classic communication. Database database servers and applications Developer help in developing Unix programs and NeXTStep applications (tools, classes, demo sources...) Documents all sort of documents, references and text-files Fonts font collections and applications/programs for font manipulation Games Life Is Hard And Then You Die. Graphics pixel, vector, multimedia (and so on) applications and programs, resources (images, icons, multimedia documents, small movies, ...) Mail user programs for handling electronic mail Network communication programs which need network connectivity (TCP/IP...) However a single top level directory is never splitted over several CDs (with the exception of 'Commercial'). Each of these toplevel directories will contain several subdirectories.
