WatchMe records what's happening on the screen along with synchronized sound. These "tapes" can be saved and played back at a later time. WatchMe can be used in an educational setting for making instructional/training tapes. The instructor records a session while explaining whatever concepts he or she wants to communicate using the computer. Students can then view these tapes later just as if they were watching over the instructor's shoulder. They hear the instructor's voice as they see what he did. Using WatchMe, custom applications can be easily documented by simply recording a session during which the application is being demonstrated. If desired, these tapes can easily be integrated into the NEXTSTEP Help system or incorporated into a multi-media document. WatchMe can also be used in a corporate setting for making canned presentations. After recording the computer based presentation, co-workers can play them back at their own convenience. Shipping planned for November 1993 Requirements for Beta testers: - NEXTSTEP 3.0 or later (Intel or Motorola) - Internet email access - Willingness to provide suggestions and detailed feedback If you are interested, please respond to bill@otherwise.com Bill Tschumy Otherwise 1501 Lowe Ave Bellingham, WA 98226 206-647-9436
