WESEMANN JOINS NeXT AS V.P. OF NORTH AMERICAN FIELD SALES

SAN FRANCISCO, CA  - June 23, 1993 - NeXT Computer, Inc. today
announced that William Wesemann has joined as vice president of North
American field sales.  Wesemann will be responsible for managing
NeXT's direct sales force, which sells to customers, value-added
resellers and system integrators.  Wesemann has more than 12 years of
experience in the software industry.
  
"Bill's impressive experience in the software marketplace will help
NeXT leverage its sales force as we expand our base of strategic
customers, value-added resellers and system integrators," said Warren
Weiss, vice president North American sales and marketing of NeXT.
"Bill will instantly help us better manage the key relationships
necessary to our sales success."

leading companies," said Wesemann.  "For the past several years, I
have lived in the client/server world and I believe NEXTSTEP is a key

Prior to joining NeXT, Wesemann was vice president at KnowledgeWare
Corporation, a $125 million CASE and client/server software
development tools company based in Atlanta, Georgia.  At
KnowledgeWare, he was responsible for establishing alternative
channel sales for client/server development tools and had sales
responsibilities for client/server tools.  He also served as vice
president of sales and marketing for Viewpoint Systems, a company
providing client/server development tools for Windows 3.0 which was
later acquired by KnowledgeWare.
