(Usually indicated by two end of tape marks in a row) Sun implements this in their driver. Gnu-mt has support for it too, but only if MTEOM is defined in mtio.h Next of course, doesn't define it. I looked at several machines, and mtio.h seems to be very machine specific. None of the codes correspond at all. Is there any brave soul out there that has written a scsi tape device driver that is more complete than Next's? Is this something that mere mortals can do, or do you have to rebuild the kernal? (I did send a message to Next regarding this lack. Actually got a response that boiled down to: "What a neat idea. Why didn't we think of it." Sigh.)
