That is, I want to run a CLI version of a program from a shell that dumps some graphics to a window(the SUNwindows version does this). Every example of doing this that I have always has an app with a menu in order to quit (kill the window). Is it possible to open a window and continue in the program (in the shell) or even open a window then continue once the window is closed? Thanks in advance for the help, Charlie

Who says that you have to have a menu? Just don't use one! Obviously, one cannot really use the appkit without an App object.. > That is, I want to run a CLI version of a program from a shell >that dumps some graphics to a window(the SUNwindows version does this). >Every example of doing this that I have always has an app with a menu >in order to quit (kill the window). All the command-key menu items actually still work (through some miracle of NeXT). Thus, you can have a Menu-less application and simply cmd-h or cmd-q whenever the window is active. (Insert picture of Steve Jobs cringing at those interface suggestions here.) John
