Most of us have been around since .9 day and really are committed(where I'm not sure). What I would like to do is ask some questions to the NeXT community to see what we all think as a collective group. First before I start I would like to ask that if anyone has flames about my message address them to me through email. Due to the bandwidth on the net I would suggest that we keep responses to constructive news postings. My first question to the masses is a theoretical one not very techy. What do you think about the current speed at which companies like NeXT, Apple, and Compaq. To be more specific are companies introducing new products faster than comsumers can identify and understand them. Those were the big questions and here are some NeXT specific questions. First: This one is for developers, Do you feel that NeXT should tell developers the companies directions such as software compatibility and new software features before they are announced (and I do not think a couple of months is that great). Now I am going to give an example of what I mean but do not yell about the subject of it.MS-DOS/PC developers know what to expect ie support of the 80X86 chip and Dos or some derivative of it ie Windows. I just think that NeXT could really pull in more developers if people knew what there direction is. I know that NeXT is privately held and Steve is probably the the most private about the work going on in house but I think they need to loose up a bit. Well that is my dirty laundry for now! I just like to say that I love the NeXT and that I just have been abit worried about there direction and if there actions are really having positive effects on sales etc. I have more questions but I will stop for now because I have wasted enough netland area. Mitch 405-325-5066 if you have any real weird stuff call (ie rumor goodies) bye ` P`~ P P
