There seems to be a bug in it, in that it seems impossible to have two humans players play against one another. Ie, when I set black to be played by "Human", and start a new game with these preferences, the computer *still* plays black. Is there a way to fix/get around this? If not, is there a newer version out with this bug fixed? If there is a newer version out, maybe someone could put it on an archive (Purdue or Oregon) so that NeXTie chess fans like me can get the newer version. Anyone? Wich makes me think, are the demos that come with the system considered part of the NeXT software distribution? (I noticed that a new version of Billiards, presumably a color version, came with the 2.0->2.1 upgrade.) Would this make it illegal to put them on an ftp server (like the 2.1 upgrade kit)? _________________________________________________________________________ Pascal Gaudette | e-mail: gaudette@physun.physics.mcmaster.ca graduate student | NO NeXTmail [yet] please Physics and astronomy dep. | These are just my opinions. I don't think they are bundled anymore, because I just got my NeXTstation 105 MB, but I couldn't find the chess demo anywhere. Can you please send me a copy or tell me where to find one? Thanks. =Howard Pan= pan@athena.mit.edu
