In particular it would be most benefial to have something that works in the NeXTStep environment first, any BSD unix second, and IBM PC third... Thanks in advance! I don't remember what it was, and I do remember that it cost money or there was some other reason I didn't feel like using it. Anyway, the unix utilities for doing this are mcvert - convert from hqx to macbinary unsit - uncompresses .sit.bin files macbin - puts the pieces unsit produces back into a macbinary file. mcvert is also useful for file transfer between a NeXT and a Mac via a DOS floppy. These utilities are available in info-mac/unix on sumex.stanford.edu. Tim
