Just get Backspace.app via ftp, select the star field, the bouncing ball, the fading/sliding image or the 'sperm' setting and watch you screen 'hooks', etc. disappear. Be warned that even though you can no longer see the physical manifestations of your screens problems, they will still exist. As such, this 'fix' is sure to anger chronic complainers even more. :)
