Someone here at UM tells me that they remember a demo of FrameMaker that came with the OS 1.0 distribution. Does anyone know if there is such a demo available? i looked at sonata in 2.0-release/demos and couldn't find anything... danno

I used the 1.0 demo off of my original optical the other day to cut some code out of an old BuzzNug (NUJ). Not only did it work fine (for my very limited trial) but it positively flew on my '040 upgraded cube. It was the most convincing demo (to me) of the worth of the '040 upgrade. Their original brochures (6 months ago) offered a demo for all platforms. However, for some strange reason I received a Macintosh demo. - Good that does! - I called them back and they re-issued a NeXT package. Small problem was that there wasn't a software disk with it. 3 months later they called several times to inquire my opinion of the evaluation package. They wanted me to call a NON 800 # - Right, like I am going to pay for telling them what I think... ps - Good thing we have Macs here! @-]
