Why is there so much of a price difference? Can I save money and buy the Mac drive from APS for $2100 and use it on a NeXT with just a different cable?

I have an APS drive for my Mac that is MUCH less expensive than those for the NeXT. Are they interchangable between machines? - jtn

For use with a NeXT, they should be formatted to 1024 byte sectors--not necessary, but it endows the drive with greater capacity. For prices lower than $2100, try Tecor, Cube Route, and Fast Access. Tecor is selling 1.2GB drives, optimized for the NeXT, for less than $1900. Contact the above three vendors, and see what they can do for you. M Carling
