Whenever I'm using 'tip' and do a ~$ to perform a loal command, it comes back to me with the message "csh: permission denied". I've read the man entry, but there doesn't seem to be a mantion of any special setup requirements. The message comes up with commands as simple as "ls". Any clues? Thanks! -alan

This could be a handshaking problem. That does work, but something like ls doesn't seem to display properly. This could be a handshaking problem. However, if I escape to a local shell with ~! this problem doesn't occur.
