It says at $3,328, you get a Nextstation with 15 MIPS 68040 CPU (twice as fast as Mac IIfx 68030) 17" Megapixel Mono Display 8 MB RAM 2.88 MB 3.5" FDD, DOS compatible 105 MB HDD CD quality sound: Mic and Headphone jacks built-in Multi-tasking On-line Webster's Dict & Thesaurus built-in thin and twisted pair Ethernet Software relaese 2.1 KB, mouse and user manuals Which such a good price/performance as above, I wonder why many people haven't bought NeXT computers as many of them bought MacIntoshes. Is the alleged "poor software support" true and if so, is it the only reason why NeXTs are less popular than Macs? I'm just asking your opinion, since I don't know much about Next. All opinons are welcome. Please reply to my email address. Thank you. John

Another reason (IMHO) is that some people are afraid of buying a NeXT because they think that it might be more dificult to use since it has Unix. NeXT is not as widely available as the Mac, nor there are as many NeXT dealers as Mac's. People planning to buy an Mac IIsi or more expensive models, should take a look at a NeXTStation. To me it is a better machine, unless you want to run an specific aplication that only works on the Mac. Richard Dib AT&T BL PS I have a Macintosh and a NeXT.
