This is NeXTworld-Expo-UniForum in view mode; [Up]

UniForum is being held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco (very close to the Civic Auditorium) on (guess when :-) January 22-24, 1992. What an amazing coincidence :-) You wouldn't think that maybe NeXT planned it that way, would you? After all, what better time to get people to wander over and take a look at NeXT then while they are attending the biggest Unix show of the year. NeXT is also listed as an exhibitor at UniForum. What would you bet that their exhibit at UniForum will be a small table with a sign directing everyone to the San Francisco Civic Auditorium? :-) Jon Rosen

I would like to know everything about the inter-relationships between the two expositions. For example, will registrants at one automatically have access to the other, either free or at reduced rates? How soon will hour-by-hour schedules of sessions at both events be available? Please answer any question I should have asked.

UniForum is NOT the same as UnixExpo (which is put on in October and is run by the same people who are running NeXTWorld Expo, I think). As far as I know (or can tell), there is no automatic cross-access planned at this time (I was being somewhat facetious when I made my comment about NeXT's purported booth at UniForum). However, UniForum is free for exhibits only so any NeXT attendee can certainly go over there are register to see the UniForum exhibit floor. The cost of UniForum program is between $95 (students) and $295 (non-members). This is the conference program without the tutorials (the tutorials are quite a bit extra since they are like full day classes). NeXT Expo is also pretty reasonable (except for the developers program which seems a bit high - not outrageous, just a bit high). There is a full program available for UniForum already (you may get it in the mail or check out Unix World or Unix Today for a write-in brochure). NeXT Expo has not yet (to my knowledge) released a schedule (just a list of programs). BTW, just because there is no connection between them, I would not be surprised if NeXT specifically chose the date because of the other conference. Jon Rosen
