It seems my bookstore sat on my order for over a month before sending it to NeXT. When NeXT found out that I had waited 5 weeks for the bookstore to send my order and another 5 weeks in their system I got my docs. the next day. NeXT has great customer support. Thank you. Now for my question. Since I got my docs I've been trying to write the simple calculator program (celcius to fahrenheit). I'm having problems. THe first of which is that the 1.0 version of IB and the 2.0 version are very different. I'm also having problems with the form object. In 1.0 it has 1 text entry field. In 2.0 it has 2 text enry fields and it doesn't connect the same way. When I think I have everythin connected lines in the '.h' and'.m' files for the application don't contain everything the should. Most of the class declaration (?) stuff for the input and output are missing. I'm following the instructions very carefully and I still don't get the thing to compile and work. I'm baffled. Kent

Kent, I had same probelm before until some netters point out there is a excellent tutorial(IB_tutorial.ps.Z) in sonata.cc.purdue.edu/pub/next/submissions. Check it out, satisfcation guarantee ;-) kuods to the author-Michael K. Mahoney So where is our in-depth NeXT programming book ? Why it is so hard to wait for a programming book on NeXT while there are so many GOOD programming books on MS-Windos, Macintosh and Motif ? Does it means the NeXT base users are still too few to write a programming book for them ? Tell me, you NeXT gurus. Jing
